Seasonal Blogger- Fall 2008

OK when I said my blogging break was over I guess I lied! For now I blame it on being tired and pregnant but truly I have turned out to be a seasonal blogger only blogging once a season! I am sure that is really boring so it is going to be my New Years Resolution to be better about blogging. For now here are some pictures from this fall.

Kate's first monorail ride.
Her school took the Monorail to the Pacific Science Center to see "Where is the Green Sheep?" Now everday we drive under the monorail she gets very excited! She also loves seeing the Space Needle and Street Car.

The Pumpkin Patch we went to had no pumpkins this year! So we picked apples and visited their petting zoo.

Kate was very interested in leaves this fall! She loved picking them up on walks.

Kate and Preslie "tickoteat"
Kate was not too happy about dressing up for halloween this year. "No bum bum bee" she would say everytime we tried to get her to try it on. When halloween came we fought her to wear it and started out on her first real trick or treating adventure to U Village! It only took her one trick or treat lesson to realize she LOVES halloween! Each time she got candy she would ask "open pease" to anyone near her. She still asks to "ticko teat wid preslie?" at least weekly!
Kate's First "lolapop".."mo pease?" all the way home...

Nastics

Kate and Preslie have been taking classes at Little Gym this fall. Kate calls it "nastics" and asks to go almost daily. She loves doing "monkey jumps" (she cannot actully jump- her feet do not leave the ground yet) and "winging" on the bars. At the end of class teacher Allison gives out stamps and Kate makes sure to be first in line for that if she is not she will usually cut in front of all the kids or push her way to the front.

"Bobbbles!"

Blogging Break is Over

I took the summer off from blogging I think the last entry was our trip to Arizona in the spring. We had a great summer! We went to greenlake, the fountain, the pool and of course the dog park. We also enjoyed the Zoo and the Locks and spent time in San Juans and Leavenworth.
Check out our web albums if you want to see some summer pics.
Now fall is here! We have another baby on the way, I have a new job, we are remodeling our kitchen (YEAH) and I am back online! Today Kate and I went to the Ballard market to get fruits and veggies and she picked out some dahilas- it was very cute!

O is for Olympics, S is for...

Its been a while since our last post, but we having been busy with the Olympics, the week (or two) of Summer, and everything comes along with trying to cram all of your summer activities into a couple of days in fear that you will missed out. With that in mind Jamie and I dashed off to the San Juans over the weekend. Roche Harbor is awesome and I strongly recommend it for a family vacation or parents weekend away. Prior to leaving we dropped Kate off at Grandma's and sent Sam (the dog) to Jamie's Aunt Shelly's. The McCombs are looking to add another dog to their family and we could benefit from four less paws in the family as we have our hands full with the pitter patter of two little feet. But it turns out that S isn't for Sam as the McCombs decided that she wasn't the right "fit" for their family. Shocker.

Kate had her last swim lesson this evening. When we got home she ask for a banana which sounds something like "nanna peas". She was happily enjoying her "nanna" when it slipped out of her little hands like a popsicle and splashed onto the floor. She stared at the ground is disgust and belted out "shit" clear as day. Yes, that's right, S is for Shit. She must have learned it at daycare.

Well with that accomplishment behind us we off to Leavenworth for a family "staycation" and vocabulary cleansing. Should be fun! Here are some pics of Kate this Summer. As you can see she likes corn. A lot.

Poo

We took a trip to sunny Arizona to visit grandma and grandpa Bergman. Dad and grandpa played lots of golf while Grandma, Kate and Mom played at the pool! Kate loved the "poo" she called it, she loved putting her face in the water to blow bubbles. She was quite the waterbaby!
Whoaa!

Kate started walking! It all happened mid march and she has not stopped. She picked it up very quickly and now she is running! She falls about 20 times an hour and has had more bumps, blood and bruises in the past 4 weeks than she has in all of her 14 months.

Very wobbly
So proud
Whoa! I am falling!
